Elevator Repair Information

The elevator at the RI Department of Human Services' Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) will be out of service for needed beginning on Monday, November 4, 2019 .

This project is expected to take a minimum of six weeks to complete. During that time, access to OCSS will be limited.

Most visitors will be required to take the stairs to the second floor. Given the narrow width of the stairs, baby strollers will need to be left on the first floor unattended at your own risk.

What if I have a medical condition and cannot climb the stairs?

If you have a medical condition that prevents you from using the stairs, special arrangements will be made for you.

What do I do once I arrive at the office and need assistance getting to the second floor?

Upon arrival at the office a telephone number will be posted for assistance. Dialing 401-458-4446 and OCSS staff will respond to meet you.

What else can I do to find out the information I normally receive by visiting the office?

We encourage you to use the Office of Child Support Services Customer Portal and access your case specific information. (http://www.cse.ri.gov/) and/or call your case agent with any questions that you have about your case. The website has up to date information on the enforcement of your child support order.
